Consistent with our charitable and educational goals, we formed as a CA non-profit corporation in February 2010 and, with our focus on San Francisco's bee and human residents, we became a fiscally-sponsored project of the SF Parks Trust (now SF Parks Alliance) in May 2011.  

We are always looking for help with our hives by beekeepers, and for help with honey extraction, bottling, labelling, website maintenance, publicity, marketing and communications.  Please consider signing up on our volunteer mailing list so that you can participate.

We're currently seeking places for apiaries.  Let us know if you have a San Francisco property in mind you think would work for an apiary.  Ideally, the property (open space land, building rooftops, etc) could accommodate a minimum of 4 hives.
